Our Makers Faire went of wonderfully this year! All the students did a wonderful job owning their station and what they were demonstrating and teaching our visitors. We definitely had a lot more students participation, family, friends, and community visitors. The week before the Faire I went with our principal Mr. Hensley and taped a radio spot at the local radio station. We actually had visitors stop in because they heard the interview and advertisement! How awesome?!?! This year we added a special Muscle Kart race and invited Zspace to show us how virtual reality can be use in schools. We also had students teaching about Makey Makey, 3D printing, marble towers, picasso tiles, snap circuits, Sphero Spark+ and Ollie, Dash & Dot, Lego design, EV3 Lego Robotics, and a make & take slime station. So thankful to be working with these curious, dedicated, and all around AWESOME Makers!

The kiddos have been super busy designing, sawing cardboard, and making logos for their karts. Things are coming along. I offered to come to school this Saturday to work with the students on finishing their designs and begin painting. I hope to have the students get the majority of the painting done this weekend. Then we will use Mon and Tues to staple the body on and give it a test run! Here are a few pics of the progress as well as the other Makers busy with crafting , legos, and activities. These kids ROCK!
